▶ Pribble for Healthcare
Session notes that
never leave the room.
Patient confidentiality isn’t a feature to enable — it’s the baseline. Pribble processes everything on-device. Nothing reaches a vendor’s server. Nothing to breach. Nothing to BAA.
✖ Why the others fail you
Cloud and patient data don’t belong together.
Cloud upload = PHI on someone else's server
Any cloud notetaker that records or transcribes a patient session is creating PHI on a third-party server. HIPAA compliance then requires a BAA, audit rights, and breach notification — from a vendor whose core product is meeting notes.
Therapy notes are uniquely sensitive
A therapist's session notes — process notes, not just treatment records — are among the most private documents that exist. Cloud vendors have breached before. The only safe architecture is local.
Fireflies BIPA suit
Fireflies AI faced a class action over biometric data collection. Any tool that captures voices in a healthcare context has regulatory exposure that 'enterprise plan' pricing doesn't resolve.
Patient trust is the relationship
Patients who learn their session audio was uploaded to a cloud vendor don't stay patients. The therapeutic relationship depends on confidentiality that your notetaker has to actually keep.
✓ How Pribble protects your patients
Every guarantee is provable, not promised.
Audio never leaves the device
WhisperKit transcribes in real time on your Mac's Neural Engine. No audio is uploaded anywhere — not for transcription, not for summarization, not for any purpose.
Nothing on a vendor's server
There are no Pribble servers involved in processing. There's no PHI to breach, no BAA to negotiate, no third-party audit to request. The data stays on your machine.
Lockdown: content can't reach cloud AI
Flip Lockdown and Pribble's own network monitor enforces that no conversation content can be sent to any cloud AI for summarization. Every request is logged and visible.
Per-session Sensitive flag
Mark any recording Sensitive and Pribble routes all AI through a local model regardless of your default settings. One toggle protects one session.
Local file storage you control
Session notes live in ~/Documents/Pribble/Recordings/. You can see them in Finder, export them, delete them. Optional iCloud sync uses your own Apple account, encrypted end-to-end.
No account, no telemetry
Pribble doesn't require an email or profile. There's nothing to sign up for, no usage data collected, no analytics about your sessions.
Verified live — not just promised
Flip on Lockdown and Pribble can’t send anything about the session to the cloud — and the live network monitor shows every request it makes, so you’ll see the silence, too.
Take notes like a friend was listening. A very discreet friend.
